Our Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment Program focuses on climate-smart farming, vocational training, and microenterprise development, ensuring that vulnerable groups—especially women, youth, and marginalized communities—can build sustainable incomes and improve their quality of life.

• Climate-Smart Agriculture & Food Security

Climate change has drastically affected traditional farming methods, leading to low crop yields, food shortages, and loss of livelihoods. We promote climate-resilient agricultural practices that increase food security and economic sustainability by:

• • Drought-Resistant Crop Cultivation – Encouraging farmers to adopt high-yield, climate-resilient crops such as sorghum, millet, cassava, drought-tolerant maize, and short-term (3-month) crops to ensure quicker harvest cycles and increased food availability and drought-tolerant maize.
  • Water-Efficient Irrigation Systems – Supporting solar-powered irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and drip irrigation to optimize water use and enhance productivity.
  • Organic & Regenerative Farming – Training farmers in composting, crop rotation, and soil conservation to improve soil fertility and sustainability.
  • Livestock Management & Dairy Farming – Providing pastoralist communities with training on livestock breeding, disease control, and dairy processing for improved market access.

Impact:
