Vocational Training and Skills Development

Vocational Training and Skills Development – Many youth and women in marginalized areas lack access to formal education and job opportunities.

Many youth and women in marginalized areas lack access to formal education and job opportunities. We provide hands-on vocational training to equip them with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship, including:

  • Tailoring & Fashion Design – Teaching women and young mothers sewing skills to start their own clothing businesses.
  • Carpentry & Construction – Training youth in woodwork, brick-making, and construction skills to increase job placement opportunities.
  • Solar Installation & Renewable Energy Skills – Educating young professionals on solar panel installation, repair, and maintenance to promote clean energy jobs.
  • Digital & ICT Training – Providing computer literacy, coding, and e-commerce training to bridge the digital divide and create remote work opportunities.
  • Financial Literacy & Business Management – Teaching entrepreneurs how to budget, save, and manage small businesses effectively.

Impact:

Over 300 youth and women trained in vocational skills, with 70% securing jobs or starting businesses.

Microenterprise Development & Women’s Economic Empowerment

Women and marginalized groups often face barriers to accessing financial resources and economic opportunities. Our microenterprise development initiatives help create small businesses, increase financial independence, and boost local economies by:

  • Providing Start-Up Capital & Grants – Offering seed funding, business loans, and savings groups to help entrepreneurs launch businesses.
  • Supporting Women-Led Cooperatives – Organizing women’s self-help groups that engage in agribusiness, handicrafts, and small-scale trade.
  • Expanding Market Access – Connecting small-scale producers and artisans to local and international markets.
  • Promoting Social Enterprises – Encouraging community-driven businesses that reinvest profits into social impact initiatives.

 

Impact:

Over 200 women-led businesses established, generating stable incomes for over 1,000 family members.

  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hubs

To nurture creativity and economic independence, we are launching entrepreneurship hubs that provide:

    • Co-Working Spaces – Equipped with Wi-Fi, computers, and business support services.
    • Mentorship & Business Coaching – Connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with industry leaders and successful business owners.
    • Tech & Innovation Incubation – Supporting startups focused on fintech, agritech, and climate solutions.

Impact:

Over 50 young entrepreneurs have developed innovative startups with our support.

    • Sewing Machines for Teenage Mothers Project (2023-2024)
    • Trained 50 displaced teenage mothers in tailoring.
    • Provided each graduate with a sewing machine, enabling them to start businesses and achieve self-sufficiency.
    • Agri-Business for Food Security Initiative (2022-2024)
    • Supported 200 farmers in adopting climate-resilient crops.
    • Increased household incomes by 30% through agriculture-based businesses.
    • Solar Energy Technicians Program (2023-2024)
    • Trained 100 youth in solar panel installation.
